How do I care for my new mystery snails?
Mystery snails thrive in clean, calcium-rich water with a temperature between 72-80°F. They enjoy a diet of blanched vegetables, calcium squares, snello, and algae wafers to keep their shells strong and healthy. The ideal, balanced temperature for active behavior and healthy shell growth is 73°F to 75°F. We maintain our snails in a temperature range of 74°F–76°F. While higher temperatures can accelerate growth, they may also result in thinner, more fragile shells and a shorter lifespan.

Mystery snails are highly sensitive to common aquarium treatments and cannot tolerate medications used for algae control or fish illness. Avoid any products containing copper, as it is toxic to them. This includes certain liquid fertilizers and certain root tabs. Always ensure that anything added to your aquarium is clearly labeled as safe for invertebrates.
What is your shipping process for live snails?
We prioritize the safety of our snails above all else. They are packed in insulated containers with moisture cushions and shipped via expedited services to ensure they arrive vibrant and healthy at your doorstep.We do not ship during major holiday weeks to ensure the safe and timely delivery of your mystery snails. This helps prevent delays or extended transit times that could jeopardize their health.
Are these snails ethically raised?
We keep things organized behind the scenes with separate tanks for males, females, and hatchlings. Males are only invited into the female tank for short visits—because let’s just say… they can be a bit too enthusiastic. This helps keep our females happy and stress-free!Once eggs are laid, we incubate the clutches with care. When the babies hatch, they’re moved into their own cozy nursery tank, where they grow and thrive until they’re ready to head off to their new homes.We are committed to responsible breeding practices and do not produce additional snails until our current inventory has found homes.
Can I track my order once it's shipped?
Absolutely. Once your order is processed and shipped, you will receive a tracking number via email so you can monitor your snail's journey to their new home.
Shipping & Returns Questions
When will my order ship?
Orders are shipped on Mondays and Tuesdays only. This prevents snails from being stuck in a sorting facility over the weekend, prioritizing their well-being.
What is your return policy for live arrivals?

While we do not offer returns or exchanges, we proudly stand behind our snails with a DOA (Dead on Arrival) guarantee. We guarantee that your snails will arrive alive. However, because every aquarium environment is different, we cannot guarantee their long-term survival or how they will adjust once introduced into your tank. If something doesn’t seem right when your snails arrive, please don’t worry—we’re here to help! To qualify for a DOA refund, please send us clear photo proof within 2 hours of delivery showing the snail outside of its shell and unresponsive. Reach out through our website as soon as possible after opening your package so we can assist you quickly. DOA refunds cover the cost of the snails only and do not include shipping fees.
